The Reddit Organic Engine

A blueprint for turning Reddit into a source of the right conversations, without spam, karma farming, or burning an account to learn the rules. It is the structure, not a personalisation: clone it, fill in your own ICP and subs, and it runs for your niche. Most of it was paid for in removed posts.

Why most Reddit strategies fail

Three failures, in the order they usually happen.

Six words this blueprint defines

The usual vocabulary (audience, engagement, reach) hides the distinctions that decide whether any of this produces anything. Six terms, each written to stand on its own.

The four gates side by side, because the whole error is treating them as one:

GateWhat it lets you doThe unit it countsCan you read it in advance?
Global karmaCommentKarma anywhere on the platformNo. You find out by being refused
Footprint in that subPostComments you have already left thereNo
Karma earned in that subPostKarma from that sub onlyNo
Format or calendarPostA rule, not a numberYes. It is written in the sidebar

Three of the four are invisible until you hit them, and none of them predicts the others. A karma curve that clears the first tells you nothing about the other three. Which is why a date derived from it is a forecast about the wrong quantity.

The same loop, applied to your ad accounts instead

The loop

Three routines. Only one of them publishes.

The loop only closes if the performance routine writes its lessons into the same file the other two read. Wire it, then verify the section exists. A routine writing to a section that is not there does not fail. It succeeds, silently, forever.

The non-negotiables

What it deliberately does not contain

There is no guidance here on disguising automation, evading moderation, or working around subs that have told you not to. Those are not gaps we intend to fill: the value is the strategy and the discipline, and none of it requires deceiving anyone.

There is also no timeline. Organic Reddit compounds slowly. The honest version of the pitch is that this buys you the right to be in the room, which is worth something only if the room contains buyers. That is what the vocabulary above is for.

Where this sits

Reddit is one channel of several we run in the open. The same discipline applied to a different network is the LinkedIn Engine, which also has its blueprint published. Here for the automation question rather than the channel? Autonomous vs approved is the same loud-versus-mute argument in an ad account. What not to automate is where the line ends up.

Questions people actually ask

Is this going to get my account banned?

Not if you do the permission checks first, which is why that section is at the front. There is no karma farming and no automation in here - the blueprint is deliberately about what to do before you post, because that is where accounts die.

Why is there no script?

Because the part that fails is not mechanical. It is length, tone, and choosing where to be. A script would only help you fail faster in more subreddits.

I got upvotes and no customers. What went wrong?

You probably built an audience of peers. The people who reply enthusiastically usually do your job rather than buy from you, and from the inside it looks exactly like it is working. There is a section on precisely this, because nobody catches it on their own.

Is it really free?

Yes, MIT, public, no email gate. If it is useful you know where to find us, and if it is not you have lost an afternoon of reading.

Take it and run it

MIT licensed: fork it, adapt it, run it for clients, no permission needed. The repo carries machine-readable citation metadata if you build on the vocabulary. And if you run it and the gate map does not match what you see, tell us. That is the part that ages fastest, and it only stays right if the people using it push back.

The whole blueprint is also on this site as one block of plain text: 17 files, generated from the same ones the repository ships, so it cannot drift. Read it without downloading anything, or hand it to a model in one paste.
