GA4 and your AI assistant
GA4 is where the ad platforms get contradicted. Which is exactly why it belongs in the same read as the ads.
A Google Analytics MCP lets an AI assistant query your GA4 property directly instead of you building another report. The useful part is not GA4 alone: it is reading GA4 next to Meta and Google Ads, because the three will report different numbers for the same week and someone has to reconcile them.
What you get out of it
- Ask what actually converted, without assembling an exploration first.
- Compare GA4's conversion count against what each ad platform claims.
- Check whether the tracking is even set up the way you think it is.
The options, and what each can do to your account
| Option | Can it change your account? | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics MCP servers | Mostly read-only | Querying GA4 conversationally. |
| Ryze AI | Yes, on the ad platforms | Teams that want one connector across ads and analytics. |
| Looker Studio | No | Dashboards you will still have to read yourself. |
| Climent Ads Assistant | Proposes, then waits for you | Reading GA4 against Meta and Google in one pass. |
Naming them plainly matters more than pretending there is one answer. Ryze AI, for instance, sells its autonomy openly — an agent layer that acts on what it finds. That is a clear position. It is simply not the one this is built on.
Where this sits
Climent Ads Assistant reads Google Analytics alongside the other three accounts, in one pass, on a daily schedule. It works out what it would change and shows you first — nothing reaches the account without your approval. Apache-2.0, with a runnable demo on synthetic data.
FAQ
Why does GA4 disagree with Meta and Google Ads?
Because the three measure different things. Ad platforms count conversions they can attribute to themselves, usually with a view-through window. GA4 counts sessions it can tie to a source. Neither is lying; they answer different questions. The work is knowing which number to trust for which decision.
Can an AI fix my GA4 setup?
It can tell you what looks wrong: events firing on the wrong pages, six actions marked as one conversion, a form that records nothing. Fixing it is a change to your site or your tag setup, which is a human job and should stay one.
Is GA4 data enough on its own?
No, and that is the point. GA4 tells you what happened on your site; the ad platforms tell you what they think they caused. A decision about spend needs both in the same view, which is the whole reason to read them together.
